With a combined 70 years of experience teaching, leading, and starting schools around the globe, Nick and Matt recognized that while there is great international demand for schools offering U.S. style pedagogy, there is a lack of relevant expertise and understanding of what it takes to create and sustain a quality educational experience in such schools. 

With this in mind, we established Katahdin Education in 2020. Since then, we have assembled a talented team of global educators and school operations experts who bring their direct experience – from the classroom and playing field to the business office and boardroom – to help schools and investors create high quality U.S. style schools and programs that meet their strategic goals and fulfill the Key Promises that guide our work at Katahdin.
